A Store with BookSense

We are proud to partner with various organizations in the community, private and public, to offer an array of programs and services.  Please note that the  services and programs change according to need and schedule, so do check this page regularly for updates.

Programs and Services

Each month we offer a book talk for the residents of both William Hill Manor and Londonderry Retirement Community.

The book talk is held the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. at William Hill and the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. at Londonderry Retirement Community.

If  you know a “senior” who might be interested in attending, please encourage them to do so.

Monthly Book Talk for Area Seniors

We currently have  12 local book clubs as community partners.  Registered book clubs receive a 10% discount on books that are being read by the club.

In addition the staff provides the club coordinators with assistance in choosing books and assuring their deliverability for a specific time period.

If you are a member of a book club that is not currently registered, please feel free to contact us.

Book Clubs Partnerships

In August of 2007,  Harrison Street Books hosted the first sidewalk sale (used books) to benefit the Judy Center.    The community of Talbot County generously donated books to the sale and we raised $825.00 for their book bucks programs.

Look for details this spring regarding the next benefit for the Judy Center.

Judy Center Sidewalk Sale

In December of 2007, Harrison Street Books hosted a benefit book sale for Christ Church Nursery School.

If you a staff member of a local nursery school, we would welcome the opportunity to  talk with you about an event for your organization.
