Harrison Street Books is an independently owned, community-based bookstore.    

Our mission is to serve the many generations of readers living in Talbot County     Whether  one is reading for pleasure or for increased knowledge and understanding of a particular topic area;  we hope to offer assistance for the journey. 

To that end, we  partner with various organizations in Talbot County and offer programming and services that enhance reading and learning.  Our current community partners include:  the Judy Center,  Londonderry  Retirement Community,  William Hill Retirement Community,  The Country School, Christ Church Nursery School and Evergreen Cove.   

Our goal is to provide for readers of all ages and capabilities.    The owners, Peggy Neviaser and Aly Valentine, each hold a  masters in reading and education (respectively) and are able to provide assistance in selection of books for children.
